Shadow's tragic past involving Maria and his quest for vengeance threaten the entire world, forcing Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles to team up in ways they never have before. With both Ivo and Gerald Robotnik scheming together, our heroes must find a way to reach Shadow before it's too late.
We gave this one an outstanding 4.5 out of 5 stars! Special thanks to Paramount for giving us an advance screening of what turned out to be the best entry in the trilogy. The action is dialed up to eleven, and Jim Carrey is better than ever, pulling double duty as both Robotnik and his unhinged grandfather Gerald—watching him play off himself is comedy gold. But the real star is SHADOW. Keanu Reeves voices him with the perfect balance of pain, rage, and tragic depth, and the film doesn't shy away from the darkness of his story. The Chaos powers action sequences are absolutely spectacular. This is peak video game movie adaptation—balancing humor, heart, and high-stakes action better than either previous entry. An absolute triumph!
