A Series Of Unfortunate Events (2004)

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004) follows the Baudelaire orphans—Violet, Klaus, and Sunny—who are left in the care of the sinister Count Olaf after their parents perish in a mysterious fire. Olaf, a greedy and theatrical villain, is determined to steal their vast inheritance and will stop at nothing to do so. The children use their intelligence, creativity, and bravery to outwit him, but each escape leads to new dangers and tragic circumstances as they are shuffled between eccentric guardians. Narrated with dark humor by Lemony Snicket, the film blends gothic visuals with a whimsical yet ominous tone, culminating in an unresolved mystery that hints at a larger conspiracy surrounding the Baudelaire family.

Isaac's Rating

Leave At Grandma’s

“The cinematography and acting is great (Jim Carrey is a gem). With the dark elements I just wasn’t the biggest fan to watch with my kids. I’ll leave this at Grandma’s, and I will cautiously revisit around the family"

Seth's Rating

Leave At Grandma’s

“This strange dark comedy is terrifying yet fun and keeps you guessing. That being said, I really did not know what to make of this one. The acting alone needs to be rewarded, so I will leave this at Grandma’s, hoping to watch it with an appropriate audience”
